VANISHED WORLD OF ROMA
The exhibition presents the story of Czech Roma and Sinti imprisoned in an internment camp Lety as well as in other concentration camps. Event takes place on 27 May 5 to 13 June 2015.
The exhibition is led by Cenek Ruzicka, chairman of the committee for Compensation of the Romani holocaust, whose family was imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps.
The exhibition forms part of KHAMORO - the biggest and most famous professional gypsy festival in the world, that has been happening since 1999. This festival offers a unique range of gypsy bands from all over the world, exhibitions, film screenings, dance workshops, seminars and conferences. In recent years the event has been frequented by approximately 8,500 people from the Czech Republic and abroad. The heart of the festival is undoubtedly Roma music, which represents a significant part of the Roma cultural heritage. Find more information at www.khamoro.cz.
