CZECH OPEN 2012 / WE LIVE FOR LONDON
The exhibition presents cultural and social projects of the Czech Centre London and the Czech Olympic Committee prepared for the 30th Olympic Games.
This mutual and unique partnership, which represents the Czech Republic in London, offers projects that combine culture, sport, education, and business through attractive programs for general and professional audiences.
The Czech Open 2012 culture project offers selected schemes, including a combined international exhibition called Coal and Steel, curated by Jaroslav Krampol and Jaroslav Kyša, the international charity art project named Disorient Express London-Prague, the premier of the animated film Let’s Draw the Olympics by Zuzana Jungmanová, and a photography exhibition with the title London and its People by Jana Žantovská.
The presentation of the Czech Olympic Committee campaign called We Live for London also offers an opportunity to view the interior of the Czech House, which will be open to public for the very first time. Part of the presentation is also a collection of clothes that will be worn by the Czech Team at the 2012 Olympics and were designed by Alpine Pro. A unique collection of official posters, which have been created for the Olympic Games since 1896, is also part of the exhibition.
The exhibition was prepared in the cooperation with the Czech Olympic Committee and Czech Centre London, with the support of the City of Prague, the Czech Embassy in London, the Czech-British Chamber of Commerce, Czech School without Borders, and other partners.
